Hem and Veil is an intimate shop in Portland Maine offering Bridal Alteration and assortment of Accessories for your special day!   

We specialize in bridal and women’s formal wear alterations. We also offer creative options for reinventing vintage and heirloom dresses into new pieces, expertly tailored for any occasion.

We sell an assortment of bridal accessories including Veils, locally sourced jewelry, headpieces, bridal sashes and shrugs.

Hem and Veil specializes in wedding gown and women’s formal wear alterations.

We also offer reinventions- turn an heirloom or vintage dress into your gown through the creative process of reinvention!

Cost

Bridal alterations minimum cost is $400. Cost goes up from there depending on many factors such as layers of gown, construction, lace, hand beading ect. A solid estimate is given upon the first fitting.
